Troop 149

Our History

Troop 149 takes part in about a dozen camping trips and outdoor activities per year, including a week of resident camp at Camp Rainey Mountain in Clayton, GA, and weekend activities such as backpacking, wilderness survival, rafting, canoeing, bicycling, fishing, caving, snow-skiing, waterskiing, and rifle and shotgun shooting. Summer “adventure” activities have included two-week backpacking trips to Philmont Scout Ranch in northern New Mexico, troop sailing trips in the Bahamas, trips to Yellowstone and Olympic National Park, and a 2024 two-week trip to Kandersteg International Scout Center in Switzerland.
